For sure Morucci’s is a hidden treasure in Walnut Creek. It is one of the best places to pick up a sandwich but you better get there early or order ahead because it is a popular spot due to the good quality of the menu. I Can not pick a favorite sandwich, they are all really good.

First time!!! Ordered the #1 Italian. It comes on a perfect ciabatta roll. I went around 10:45 am and there was a small line. I heard the line and wait can get backed up during lunch. I definitely know why! That was a great sandwich. Give it a try. Cannot wait to try another.

This is hands-down my favorite Diablo Valley deli. There are many I haven't tried yet, but that's only because this place keeps us coming back. Friendly service, old-school community energy, delicious sandwiches, huge variety of chips & drinks, patio seating.

Just tried this place on a whim because my stomach was very angry with me for not eating dinner last night. Ordered the Tri Tip sandwich #16, and a gherkin and it was AMAZING! The tri tip was juicy and hot, the garlic ciabatta bun was perfectly toasted, and the produce was super fresh. This is gonna be my go to spot anytime I'm in Walnut Creek as the pricing is extremely fair and the portions are perfect. The crew looked happy to be there and were very friendly, always a pleasure to see in an old school deli setting. Do yourself a favor and try them out if you haven't already.

Had the Italian on ciabatta. It was awesome sandwich for very good price! The meat were tasty and fresh, and pesto on it went very well. Definitely will be returning for more!

Great tasting delicious sandwiches, friendly and fast service, nice outdoor setting with shade all at very reasonable prices. I wish I had discovered this place years ago. My wife had a BLT on a croissant roll that was delicious, and filling. The croissant was large not a tiny one. I had the tri-tip sandwich that was filling with quality meat. I just wished the meat had a touch more flavor, but was still delicious.

Really delicious sandwiches and they are cheap too. There’s usually a long line during the lunch time rush so go around 11 or after 1. The 6 3/4 is my favorite sandwich. Love the balsamic dressing they put on the sandwich. They have a good great selection of the kettle brand chips. I think you can call in orders ahead of time or fax?

My office is in downtown Walnut Creek and I decided to take a break from the overpriced, underwhelming, 20 lunches that come with a side of poor service and go for a little five minute drive, where I found Morucci’s. They offer a large menu of sandwiches and salads, and because it was difficult to narrow it down. I decided to start at the top and go with the #1 one Italian sub. It was really incredible! Rather than add on the suggested mustard or pesto, I asked for an unconventional ingredient to be added to an Italian sandwich (Mayo) and I was grateful that they didn’t (outwardly) judge me for my choice, because combined with the Italian dressing it was the perfect creamy, tangy combo. There’s a lovely outdoor shaded eating area where I was able to enjoy my sandwich. I will absolutely be back very soon. I’m hoping to work my way down the menu, but that Italian sub is going to be tough to beat. More Morucci’s, please!
